More Than a Track — It's a Tradition
The Runestone GoKart Association was started in 1978 and operates as a non-profit organization that is dedicated to child development through go kart racing in west-central Minnesota.

Our Mission
At Runestone Go-Kart Association we provide a safe, exciting and rewarding experience for our drivers, race families, and spectators. We offer a well-maintained track and a variety of classes that cater to racers of all skill levels, from beginner to experienced. Our mission is to develop young individuals by providing them with the tools and skills they need to become well-rounded and responsible individuals both on and off the track. We are committed to celebrating the achievements of every participant while promoting sportsmanship to maintain our family friendly atmosphere.

New to karting? These answers will help you feel prepared and ready for race day.
Races take place on scheduled weekends during the summer at the Runestone Raceway, located within the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Alexandria, MN. Check our Facebook page or website calendar for the latest schedule.
Pit passes are $15 generally (except for big events). Grand stand and tailgate admission is always free on the south side of the track.
Every week features local food trucks with unique menus.
Members get a $10 discount on every race, a Runestone Racing t-shirt, and free admission (plus meal) to the year end banquet.
No. Pit parking is available on a first come first serve basis after the pit area opens at 3pm on race day.
